Becoming fluent in “foodie-ism” is essential in surviving your next skinny-tie soiree, where the most prominent faux pas is regarding a Whole Foods as a farmer’s market.

The dichotomy of the foodie movement is hard to stomach (pun thoroughly intended)—one side supports the gourmet, everything-must-be-fresh palate while the other criticizes it as a yuppie free-for-all. Jason Sheehan of Seattle Weekly sides with the latter bunch, and wrote this piece on our fantabulous Foodie Flashcards.
