Best Depression I Ever Had!

I am a huge fan of guidebooks, and How To Be Depressed has just replaced every How to Be Happy book on my self-help bookshelf. First, the quality of this book is seriously impressive, the illustrations are perfect, and it's a great book to jam in your purse, computer bag or backpack. Secondly and most importantly, the book is funny, heartfelt and detailed to a degree not before seen in comedic books about depression and bipolar disorders... Dana Eagle has clearly given depression a detailed once over—from what to wear: "First you're going to need sweatpants" to children's books about depression: "Good Night Gloom"... Dana Eagle knows exactly where the line between empathy and hilarity exists. She is as funny as she is smart. And I'm buying this book for all my creatively bummed out friends.

Just love it

This is just delightful which seems like an odd thing to say about a depression book. But it takes a serious subject--one that I have dealt with and my family has dealt with--and adds a levity to it. It's also a beautiful book. Awesome illustrations and the author is just hilarious. Can't wait for part 2! Or is that too much pressure??
