My husband, despite being high school and college valedictorian, hates reading and usually thinks books are ridiculous, but I took a chance on this anyway. I bought this a few weeks before we found out we were expecting, and am so glad I had it to give him as a "new dad" gift. He actually read this book cover to cover. Twice. And I'll still catch him refreshing on upcoming weeks. Organized week by week with a page each for what's happening to baby and to mom, it's got really helpful information in just long enough chunks to be useful without being overwhelming, and the cartoons make it fun to look at also - kinda like a cross between CliffsNotes and comics. Even though it was expected to be more of a novelty item than functional present, this has been a favorite throughout our entire pregnancy. I'd highly recommend it to any soon-to-be new dads (or moms) out there!
